  • Aphrodite's supposed parents were Zeus and Dione
  • No one actually knows for sure, because she could have been born from sea foam
  • Aphrodite was not Zeus's favorite child, it was Athena
  • Most people believe she was Dione's favorite child, because of her beauty and love
  • Aphrodite is believed to only have half brothers and sisters

  • Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love
  • Aphrodite is in a class of her own, she was known as one of the prettiest goddesses
  • powers of transformation that could cause both Gods and mortals to do as she bid them
  • She casted spells on mortals and deities falling in love and conceiving new life
  • She inspired poetry and declarations of love, her creativity in using the power of love

One of the most ancient myths about Aphrodite was how she was born. Some say she was born by Zeus and Dione which is just a myth, but most truly believe she was born by sea foam which was unique because no other goddesses were known to be created like it. Her real father was said to be Uranus who had a part of him cut off and thrown into the sea, which created Aphrodite

-Aphrodite which is known as one of the 12 Olympian deities, was associated with love, beauty, and fertility.
-The Romans later renamed her Venus
-her original name comes from aphros, the Greek word for foam
-She was married to Hephaestus (Vulcan), god of metalworking
- Aphrodite's role as the goddess of beauty was one of the factors that led to the outbreak of the Trojan War
-Aphrodite's many children were Deimos, and Phobos, fathered by Ares, and Eryx, the son of Poseidon.
