Introduction

  • My name is Cooper
  • I am 6 years old

Frosting Facts

  • It is also called filling
  • Some flavors are vanilla, chocolate, and buttercream
  • Has been used for hundreds of years
  • Is used on cakes and cupcakes

Vanilla Frosting Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Vanilla Frosting Directions

  • Combine all ingredients
  • Beat on medium speed until smooth and fluffy

Powdered Sugar

  • Also called confectioners sugar
  • Can make it with your hand and a coffee grinder or a blender
  • It is finely ground sugar

Making Powdered Sugar

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch
  • Blend until powdery

Cupcake Facts

  • Were originally called 1-2-3-4 cakes or number cakes because they had 1 cup of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 3 cups of flour, and 4 eggs

  • Don't take as long to cook as other cakes
  • Biggest one ever was 2,594 pounds or 1,176 kilograms
