WHAT IS THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

  • The respiratory system is responsible is to take in oxygen and gases need by all body cells. It also takes out carbon dioxide out of the body.

  • Pharynx (throat)
  • Larynx (voice box)
  • Trachea (windpipe)
  • Bronchi (like a tree)
  • Alveolio(bundle of grapes)
  • Lungs

FACTS

  • The process of breathing is called ventilation.
  • Inhaling is called inspiration, and exhaling is called expiration.
  • Those two together are know has respiration.
