Frankenstein 1931 film was one of the first movies over the novel Frankenstein.
Some differences are in the novel the creature wants revenge on society and people bc they call him different. I’m the movie his only enemy is Henry. Victors name in the movie is Henry. Henry now has an assistant. Not really any stand out similarities
The adaptation is a loose interpretation
This adaptation cannot stand alone it hardly goes off anything from the novel
No the movie does not capture the novel’s formal elements.
Yeah I think it’s a quality film in its own right. It was boring at some parts but very good and suspenseful at others
I think the overall message is still retained because even if you change the tone of the movie most everyone will still retain the overall message
