(TASK H) MOUNT PINATUBO

  • On the 12th of June until the 15th of June 1991, Mount Pinatubo erupted.
  • The eruption caused many damages to the community.
  • 200,000 people were homeless.
  • 81,654 houses were damaged or destroyed by the volcanic eruption.
  • 18,000 hectares of forest was buried by ash falls.

MOUNT PINATUBO

  • Around 722 people died because of the damages that the volcano caused.
  • 184 people were injured and 23 people went missing.
  • Crops, personal property and infrastructure damages cost $443 million over
  • 1991 to 1992.

MOUNT PINATUBO

  • The eruption of Mount Pinatubo caused weather changes like global cooling.
  • Also the sunrises & sunsets were brighter from the ash and gas in the air.
  • The Island of Luzon felt the damages caused by the eruption for many years.
