• in the beginning of the rape of the lock pope declares that a dire offence canto 1 line has been committed a lord assaulted a gentle belle(lines) causing her to reject him. He then proceeds to tell the story of this offence.

• Pope was born 21 of may in the year of 1688. His family lived in London moved out of London and settled in Windsor forest around 1700. Pope had little formal schooling. He educated himself through extensive studying and reading especially poetry. He never grew taller then 4’6 he suffered from curvature of the spine he became ill later in his childhood which resulted in a slightly disfigured body.

• One thing that amazed me was when he had enemies that aimed for his human weakness but he still was always warm hearted and generous for his many friends.
