Juvenile- a young person
I picked this because it is a young person and a juvenile is a young person.
Delinquent- a young person showing or characterized by a tendency to commit a crime, particularly a minor crime.
I pick it because it shows a kid getting arrested
Reform- make changes in social, political, or economic institution or practice in order to improve it.
I picked it because reform is about change and it says change ahead on the sign
Prosecute- institute legal proceedings against a person or an organization.
Some is prosecuted by a judge and and judge has a gavel
Offender- a person who commits and illegal act.
Conviction- a formal declaration that someone is guilty of a criminal offense, made by the jury or a judge.
Incarceration- the state of being confined in prison-imprisonment.
Overrepresentation- represented in excessive or disproportionately large numbers or amounts.
Mandatory- required by law or rules.
Deterrent- a thing that discourage or is intended to discourage someone form doing something.
Disparity- a great difference
Sentence- the punishment assigned to a a defendant found guilty by a court, or fixed by law for a particular offense.
