Vision is needed to define and communicate how to help many people make their lives fulfilling and meaningful

"A unifying vision generates energy in each person involved, multiplying as it passes between people."

Dr. Oleg Konovalov

Oleg is one of the top Visionary Leadership Coaches in the world.

Vision involves putting one's mind in the future, imagining it and then looking back to the present to see how to get there.

That's the plan. Built today from a future perspective.

What is Vision?

  • Vision is a ladder a capable leader uses to reach success
  • A future with imagination and wisdom
  • Vision makes a difference in the world
  • Vision is a vehicle for change
  • Makes our PURPOSE come to life
Using the Mind's eye'

Vision is needed to define and communicate how to help many people make their lives fulfilling and meaningful.

It is important at a micro-level (personal) as noted for a happy life, but also at a macro-level (corporate).

At the corporate, vision is needed to define and communicate how to help many people make their lives fulfilling and meaningful.

I heard someone say one time, people want a Crusade, not just a paycheck. They want to understand how their role plays into the larger, company purpose.

It is the ability to live into a chosen future, from knowing nothing to contemplating the abundant and unlimited possibilities of life.

"What matters most is having a purpose."

WHY VISION?

  • To give purpose and meaning
  • Create a better future
  • To live your desired state
  • To help others
  • To live to a happy, satisfying life
  • Connects your inner universe with the external world.
  • The possibility of achieving something great.
If you have a clearly defined purpose or a vision people can then be involved in what you do because it's meaningful to them.

Vision is needed to define and communicate how to help many people make their lives fulfilling and meaningful.

"Imagine a place where you go to work every day and you make a contribution to something bigger than yourself. I think a vision is a description of something that's bigger than ourselves." Garry Ridge, Chairman of WD-40.

Vision involves putting one's mind in the future, imagining it, and then looking back to the present to see how to get there.

Without Vision?

  • Living a life without hope.
  • A very dark place.
  • A company becomes stagnant and stale
While a vision is an intangible, ethereal future, the steps you take personally and organisationally to reach the vision, must be considered, planned, resourced, reviewed, and refined on a cyclical basis.

It wouldn't be correct to say that vision makes people happy, but vision leads people to much happier, energised, inspired and satisfied lives.

VISION DEVELOPMENT

  • Learning
  • Listening
  • Killing ego
  • Bold thinking
  • Scanning environment
  • Broad outlook

The Enemy of Vision

  • Negativity
  • Lack of confidence/Enthusiasm
  • Detachment from reality
  • Too much comfort
  • Ego
The first anti‐vision forces are negativity and pessimism that are fed by doubts and unnecessary worries.

Lack of confidence only causes distraction and more doubts, leaving no chance for being focused on something greater than the usual routine. This will kill your passion which in turn will kill your vision.

STAGES OF VISION

  • Larva
  • Cocoon
  • Butterfly
Larva-A vision in the larva stage uses our knowledge base to grow. We cannot see this process, but it goes on in the back of our mind, usually without our knowing it.

Oleg Konovalov, The Vision Code

Cocoon-Vision appears with the first gentle timid signs and often disappears from sight for some time until something reveals its presence. It may seem to not be developing at all, but big changes are happening in its subconscious.

Butterfly- Vision grows into its shape fed by imagination, nurtured by inspiration and driven by a desire to solve a serious problem for the sake of others.

LARVA

  • Knowledge base
  • Unconscious thinking
  • Imagination
  • Creativity
  • Wild and Risky

COCOON

  • Growing unseen
  • Subconscious thoughts
  • Inner energy
  • Vision crystallizes

BUTTERFLY

  • Burning desire
  • Abilities
  • Competencies

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
Carl Jung
