How does youth football affect kids now and in the future?

For my focus question I decided to ask how does youth football affect kids now and in the future because I thought it would be interesting to to see how it affects kids in the real world and also if it affects them when they are done playing.

Mental

The first way that I saw kids being affected we're mentally. Just because it's a tough sport doesn't mean that it won't affect your brain as well. Something that it helps teach are teamwork which helps if kids ever have class projects or work with others in the work place. They also learn to overcome obstacles, because like football everyone runs into problems in their lives and it's more about fighting through them than avoiding the. Also kids are part of something more than themselves which can give them a sense of belonging. Finally, players also learn strategies which could help them think about strategies in the rest of their life.

Physical

Football also helps kids by being an active sport. Some ways that footballs helps players become physically better is in weight control which is very important part of being fit. Another important physical aspect of playing football is that it lowers your diabetes risk which allows kids to stay more healthy for the rest of their lives. Football also helps with toughness which is needed to show that we need to continuously push through obstacles even when they are hard or they hurt. It also helps build muscle which allows kids to be stronger and compete at any sport they want to play. Finally, it also helps with agility and hand-eye coordination which both help people excel at other sports and continue to keep active.

Emotional

Competing in any sport gives people emotional gains but in football it can be even more true. First, it can help if someone is having trouble with friends because it allows you to get to bond with your teammates and gives a lot of experience with other people. It helps people control their emotions because they know that they can't get too happy when things or going well or too sad when things are going poorly because things can change and be on the opposite side very quickly. With this kids also learn to be good winners and losers because they know that if they are on the other side next week they'd want the other teams to respectful. Finally, football gives kids a chance to compete which is very helpful considering that they will have to compete for anything that they want for their whole lives.

School & Jobs

Football can help kids throughout their schooling and in their work life as well. First people playing football graduate high school. Twenty five percent to thirty five percent than kids who are not involved in sports. With this higher education they end up earning twelve percent to thirty one percent more money than non-football players which equals about seventy three more dollars per week. These numbers are all bigger than those of students in band, theater, or student government. Football also creates a desire for excellence that players will try to achieve in the classroom and the workplace. Finally, when you play football you learn to work with groups. This affects work and school because, just like on a football team, sometimes you must work with people you don't like or aren't friends with, but for the team to be successful you must learn to work well with even your worst enemies.

Become educated 25% to 35% higher

Maturity

A big way that youth football affects kids is maturity. When kids play football they a lot more likely to be involved civic duty. This could be voting, watching the news, or be more comfortable public speaking. Obviously, this study show that playing football does make a difference in all of these areas. Another way that football makes kids more mature is in behaviors.
