Jeremy was in grade 6th grade when his parents reached out to me. After skipping homework multiple times, the teachers started contacting his parents. Jeremy’s parents had to give him constant reminders and even consequences after lying to them about his homework.
We started working together on establishing a daily practice in math. Under my guidance, Jeremy learned to design a daily practice regardless of his homework. It was strange for Jeremy to sit and work even when he did not get homework from his teacher but knowing that it will be for only 18 minutes encouraged him to try. After just a few weeks, Jeremy’s test scores increased by more than 30%, and homework was NOT an issue anymore.
