PLANETS

NEPTUNE, URANUS, SATERN, JUPITER, MARS, EARTH, VENUS, MERCURY

NEPTUNE

  • Neptune is the 8 planet farthest from the sun
  • It is the most distance in the solar system
  • Neptune is the strongest wind in the solar system
  • It's the 3 largest planet
  • The gas giant is moving closer to the sun

URANUS

  • Uranus is the 7 planet from the sun
  • Uranus is named after Greek god in the sky
  • Uranus is the husband of Gaia the God of earth
  • It is not visible to the naked eye
  • Is the first planet to be discovered in the telascop

SATERN

  • SATERN is the 6 planet from the sun
  • It has a ring on it
  • The most distance can be seen from the naked eye
  • It is the 5 brightest planet in the solar system
  • It is easily found in binoculars

JUPITER

  • It is the 5 planet from the sun
  • It is the largest planet in the solar system
  • Jupiter is 2 more than all the planets combined
  • It is the 4 brightest in the sky
  • It is known as the bright wandering star

MARS

  • Mars is the 4 planet from the sun
  • It is the 2 smallest planet in the solar system
  • It is the last of the terrestrial
  • Mars has 2 moons
  • One of the moons on Mars is doomed

EARTH

  • Earth is the planet we live on
  • It is the 3 planet from hrs sun
  • It is the largest terrestrial planet
  • 1.3 million earths can fit inside the sun
  • It is the only planet that has a atmospher with 21% oxygen

VENUS

  • Venus is is the 2 planet from the sun
  • It is the 2 brightest planet in the night sky
  • It is called earths sister
  • It has as a similes size as the earth
  • It has a similar mass as the earth

MECURY

  • Mercury is the first planet from the sun
  • It is right by the sun
  • It is the smallest planet in the solar system
  • It takes 88 days to orbit around the sun
  • Unlike other planets Mercury spins very slow on its axis

MODEL

  • A phisical representation of an object

COMET

  • An icy body that is part of our solar system

HELIOSPERE

  • A bubble in space that is blown into interstellar medium by the solar wind

GALILEAN MOONS

  • The 4 moons of Jupiter discovered by Galileo in January 1610

ASTROIDS

  • Are a class of small solar system bodies in our solar system they have also been called planetoids especially the larger ones.

METEOROIDS

  • A sand to Boulder size piece of debris in the solar system.

METEOR

  • The viable path of a meteoroids that has entered the earths atmosphere they usually burn up to about 40 to 70 miles above earth.

METEORITE

  • An object oiginating in outer space that survives impact with earth.

SOLAR SYSTEM

  • Consist of the sun and the astronomical objects gravitational bound orbit around it.

KUIPER BELT.

  • Is a region of the solar system beyond the planets extending form the orbit of Neptune to approximately 50 at from the sun. It is similar to the asteroids belt but but is much larger 20 times as wide and 20 to 100 times as massive .

OORT CLOUD

  • A hypothesize cloud of comets which lie roughly 50,000 au from the sun.
