A brief summary of what each topic has taught me

Topic 1

• Looking at Digital Residents and Visitors enabled me to look beyond age divides in internet activity
• I realised that I was more of a Digital Visitor

Topic 2

• Allowed me to think about just how important it is to hold an authentic online identity
• Although anonymity is valued there is limit to which it should be exercised online

Topic 3

• I learned that it is important to hold an online professional profile in order to enter today's job market
• I was able to learn incedibly valuable tips which I can apply to my own profiles

Topic 4

• Reflecting on my own experiences, social media can be a vital tool to use within education
• However it is important that participants are also "Digital Footprint" conscious

Topic 5

• The idea that everything should be free can be harming especially for content producers
• This has enabled me to be more mindful about my online content and online activities
