"How does a strong relationship

with family guarantee happiness?"

In the article, "Families are changing, but still the key to happiness," written by Phillip Moeller it discusses how our family, shapes ourselves and effects our happiness.

Our family provides us with a powerful support and approval network that helps shape our own character and our happiness.

The way we converse and communicate with out family makes our life much easier and healthy. "That's because in ways small and large, our life's effort and achievements are given meaning by how we're judged within our families."

Personally, my mood increases by 100% when I receive my parents "approval" or do something that makes them proud, because it makes me happy to see them happy.

Moeller states that "The parent-child relationship is arguably the most important of all family bonds."

This quote from the article applies to my selected Q3 novel, The Joy Luck Club written by Amy Tan, because one of the core values of this novel is the bond that the mothers and the daughters have. Even thought their family bond that they share is extremely complex because of their cultural differences, their relationships are still strong.

The relationship bond between the parent and child is extremely important. While we are growing up, our parents are our key influence in everything we do. As we get older, we tend to carry the traits and lessons that our parents have taught us and apply it in our daily lives.
