• First we will talk about the castle’s history and how it came to be.
• Then we will talk about the style of architecture it has.
• Finally, there will be some interesting facts at the end.

CASTLE’S HISTORY

• The first guest at the chateau was a widow, who’s husband was just murdered at the end of the 14th century.
• In the 16th century, the castle became a place for kings to live.
• Francois I started developing the castle, but he lost interest, then a amazing spiral staircase was added. The staircase will go on to be the most memorable part of château de Blois.

STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE

• Château de Blois has 4 styles of architecture mixed in with it.
• The first style is the gothic style, the gothic style was originally from France and England.
• The second style is the classical style, the classical style is very similar to a Roman type of architecture.

MORE ON ARCHITECTURE

• The third style is the renaissance, renaissance style contains different styles from a Greek and a Roman style.
• The final style is Medieval which was mostly an architecture from the Middle Ages.

INTERESTING FACTS

• Château de Blois helped evolve a part of French architecture in the Middle Ages to the 17th century.
• Louis XII is the person who built the remarkable staircase in the castle.
• In the 1500’s, the king had them reconstruct the castle.

CONCLUSION

• For this report, I learned a lot about different architecture and construction of old buildings such as castles.
• If I were to do this project again, I wouldn’t be as lazy and start researching the castle as soon as I could. I would also not wait till the last minute to do this. I feel like I did a moderate job on this project and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t good. It was mediocre.
