Noninfectious Diseases

Conditions not caused by pathogens but by genetics, lifestyle, or environmental factors (e.g., diabetes, cancer)

Allergies

Immune system overreaction to substances like pollen, food, or dust, leading to symptoms like rashes, sneezing, or anaphylaxis.

Arthritis

Inflammation of joints causing pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility; common types include osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Diabetes

A metabolic disorder where the body cannot regulate blood sugar properly due to lack of insulin (Type 1) or insulin resistance (Type 2).

Skin Cancer

Abnormal skin cell growth, often caused by UV exposure, with types like melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.

Parkinson’s Disease

A progressive neurological disorder affecting movement, caused by the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells.

asthma

A chronic respiratory condition where the airways become inflamed, narrowed, and produce excess mucus, causing difficulty breathing, wheezing, and coughing. Triggered by allergens, exercise, or irritants.
