AGRICULTURAL PROBLEMS

  • The division of the land meant that there was less space for the people to farm
  • Since Rome no longer owned a bunch of land the soil would become overworked
  • Overworked soil meant that no crops could be harvetested for the oncoming season
  • The economy eventually declined making life difficult of the Roman citizens

CHRISTIANITY

  • Many Romans started to not worship the Roman Gods anymore
  • Since less people started to believe in the Roman Gods the people started to believe that they were being punished for not believing
  • Christianity applied to all types of people were as the Roman religion had nothing to do with the overall contentment of the people
  • Rome as a whole was an untrustworthy empire which led to their people becoming nonbelievers

MILITARY PROBLEMS

  • Rome would have many conflicts over land which led to fighting
  • Each time they fought they had to hire troops and provide weapons
  • This cost a lot of money and with their declining economy, didn't work out to well
  • Paying these soldier became harder and harder to do
