PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Jerusalem

By: Alexander L. Velasco

What Do They Do?

  • Jerusalem, Israel, is part of a whole Christian group in the world, celebrating it's main character of the entire tradition, Jesus.
  • Children and Adults bring supplies or whatever they could salvage and use it to make fine arts and crafts. This was later used in choirs and sets and stages, just for decoration.
  • The weather at Jerusalem, Israel, is as cold as refrigerating a cup of water at thirty degrees Fahrenheit. When this happens, obviously people bring winter coats and jackets.
  • Although it's cold over there, people of Jerusalem still celebrate their main belief as they hold their hands together and sing with the current song at the choir.
  • They make a large variety of Christmas meals that are ready for at least a whole family to enjoy. They include the Twelfth-Night Cake, Candy Cane Cookies, Mincemeat Pies, Candle-braid Bread, Moravian Christmas Cookies, etc.

Ceremonies

  • What people of Jerusalem do to celebrate Christmas is not just by creating crafting and meals, but by teaching their children to do choirs to make their parents and neighbors happy throughout Christmas.
  • Most choirs have a name; One of them are called the Manger Square Children and the Choir Singing Carol.

Decorations

  • Children of Jerusalem usually create craftings, while they do fine arts as well at the same time.
  • Once these are done, they will be transported to the carols at midnight to symbolize their local tradition and beliefs.
  • They create a Shining Silver Star on their Christmas trees, which obviously shines like a real silver star!
