Roots
Water enters the plant through the roots. The roots absorb the water and nutrients the plant needs. And also anchor the plants to the ground.

Xylem
After entering the plant the water goes through the xylem to the leaves. The xylem look like long narrow tubes that run towards the outside of the plant.

Vascular Tissue
Allows water and nutrients to be taken in at the roots and to be taken to the top of the plant.

Evaporation
Water evaporates on the surface of a plant water that is taken through the roots moves up the plant it fills the space occupied by water.

Transpiration
Accounts for 10% of the water in the atmosphere. Transpiration is also a part of the evaporation stage in water cycle.

Stomates
Stomates are what let the water vapor out of the plant. Then the guard cells control when and what things get in and out. So during a drought the guard cells close.
