Impact of coaching

  • Kim et al 2018 N=27 coached and n=42 non-coached.
  • Max cardiac dose was lower in the coached patients (13.1Gy vs 19.4Gy non-coached) p=0.004.
  • No significant differences in mean cardiac doses.
  • Differences between the groups, coached patients had significantly higher BMI (30.1 vs 26.3 p=0.028) than non-coached and fewer pulmonary conditions (3.7% vs 19% p=0.08).

Results

  • Twenty comments for changes were received across all groups- of which 10 were actionable, and those changes were made. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive from the patient representatives, charity and practitioner communities. We also exhibited the Respire web site at the ARC in January 2020 and received incredibly positive feedback from delegates.
