  • 30,000 German(Hessians)soldiers helped the British in the revolution

WHO THEY SIDED WITH

  • They sided with The British
  • Technically they were rented

WHY THEY SIDED WITH THEM

  • Friedrich II Landgraf of Hesse-Kassel rented his soldiers out to keep taxes low

HOW THEY HELPED

  • The hessians helped because they were excellent soldiers and were well needed in fighting the battle of Trenton which was a sneak attack
  • Raised to fight from the age of seven

  • Most known battle was the Battle of Trenton

EXTRA FACTS

  • From Hesse-Kassel
  • On Christmas of 1776, the Hessians were celebrating, in their camp at Trenton while Washington led his soldiers across the Delaware. That morning they attacked. The Hessians surrendered .
