What kind of word create the image?
Sometimes the nouns are abstract ideas.
Verbs have tenses, they tell time.
THE PRESENT PARTICIPLE REFERS TO THINGS
Using the present participle can be like a zoom lens.
Now "zoom" in on the details of the nouns.
DIRT...FLYING, HOOVES... POUNDING, SILKS... BLOWING
The horses, dirt flying and hooves pounding, raced around the track.
Word selection increases interest level of the sentence.
