Financial strategies for sports betting

Every player who bets seriously comes to the realization that it is impossible to bet by chance and hope for a steady win. Some bettors stay in the black, guessing only forty percent of the results. Others lose, even if the passability of the bets is 70 percent.

It is important to remember: no financial strategy for sports betting will make a person a successful player, if he bets on odds of 1.3 - 1.4 and guesses less than forty percent of the results. Their main task is to prevent losing the whole amount of the bank and to distribute the wagering on subsequent bets, taking into account the odds and probabilities.

Catch-up strategy

The most common financial betting strategy is called overtaking, or Martingale. The general idea is simple enough: a loss of one bet is wagered by increasing the follow-up. On a small distance strategy brings a good profit. If, however, the losing streak consists of 5-10 or more losses in a row, there is a risk of losing the entire bank.

Classic Catch-up. Each loss is won back with the next bet. If the bet loses, increase the next bet. If the bet wins, we return to the initial figure. For example, at odds of 2.00, the first bet is 100 rubles, the second is 200, then 400, 800, 1600 and so on.

With this financial betting strategy, you can both double the game bank for one day and lose all the money. Double up. The principle is the same: a gradual increase in the bet amount. Bets are made on opposite events. For example, a player puts on the total less before the first winning, then moves to the total more, after the next winning - to the total less.

Anti-Dodge. A less risky strategy in comparison with the classical Martingale. When winning, the bet amount increases, when losing, it decreases. The risk of losing the bank is reduced, but so is the potential profit. Progressive Catch-up is based on a mathematical progression. Example: at the first bet winnings must be 10 rubles. If the bet loses, at the second - 20. At the third - 30 and so on.

In other words, the winnings after each bet increases by 10 rubles, or the amount of the original winnings. Thus, it is enough to win one bet to compensate for losses. However, at a long distance, it is possible to drain the entire deposit. Soft Catch-up. Unlike analogues, the lost amount is recouped not in one bet, because it increases the risk of bankruptcy, but in several. The amount is divided into several parts, and each part is fetched individually. And the higher the amount to be recouped, the more parts it is divided into.

D'Alamber's strategy

Originally financial strategy d'Alambera was developed for professional players in casinos, but after a little refinement came in sports betting. This strategy is considered less risky and less profitable than overtaking, but it has common features with it.

The essence of d'Alamber strategy is as follows: the player himself chooses the amount by which to increase or decrease the bet ("unit"). The unit size can be either ten rubles or ten thousand, depending on the amount of the bank, bookmaker like 22bet, etc. With each loss the size of the next bet is increased by "unit", with each win - is reduced.

Flat strategy

The financial strategy Flat is the best solution for beginners and cautious players. A player determines a fixed percentage of the initial bank, the optimal range of odds and makes bets. The optimal bet size is 3-5 per cent of the bank, odds are 1.70 and above.

Winning depends on how qualitatively a player makes his forecasts on the outcomes of sporting events.

A kind of Flat is a financial strategy called Miller's financial management or progressive bank. The essence of the strategy is similar to the original one, the only difference being that after increasing the initial bank by a certain amount (for example, by a quarter of the initial amount) the bet amount is increased by the same percentage.

Fixed Profit

This strategy can be considered another version of the classic Flat. Instead of the percentage of the bank here the winning amount is fixed. The player can work with various odds and amounts, the main condition is a fixed amount of profit. The rest depends on the style of the game, the player's preferences, etc. In any case, bets with odds lower than 1.35 - 1.40 make sense only when the player is not winning, but participation, or if they are part of an express.

In this review, we have listed only the most common strategies that work for different distances. Each professional player makes his own betting strategy, based on his temperament and experience.
