Ordeal By Water

  • The accused perso was thrown in water. If they floated they were found guilty, if they sank they were innocent.

Ordeal By Fire

  • You had to hold a red hot iron walking a distances of 9 feet. After three days your bandages were taken off. If your wounds were healing then you were innocent. If your wounds weren't showing signs of improvement then you were found guilty.

Ordeal By Combat

  • Two different parties had to fight each other. The winner of the fight was the one found to be innocent.

Trial By Ordeal

  • Serious crimes were held in the King's court. The person being accused had to face the trial and the Ordeal decided if they were guilty or not.

Trial By Jury

  • All men of the village were put in a group. Each man had to make sure no member broke a law, if they did then they were sent to court.
