  • Al Capone
  • John Dillinger
  • Dion A'Banion

Al capone

  • Known as the most famous Chicago gangster 
  • Born into poverty in 1899
  • Capone took over Five points gang in 1925 and became the boss in 1925
  • His net worth in 1927 was estimated at a colossal 100 million  
  • After being indited for tax evasion he died located in a jail cell in 1947

John Dillinger

  • Was known for robbing banks in the 1920s
  • His first robbery was in Rockville using a fake gun
  • They would use ruses and phony stories and act like alarm system salesman
  • While traveling around the Midwest, John and his posse stole over 300 milli

Dion O'Banion

  • Grew up in Chicago in 1892 
  • Became a singing waiter at a saloon which was a mobster hangout
  • A notorious gunman Gene Geary took him under his wing
  • Soon enough O'Banion became the leader of the Five Points Gang
  • He was murdered at a flower shop in 1924

  • This was a good way for gangs and mobs to make money
