Who is she?
She was the 2012 Summer Olympic gold medalist, for individual all-around with a 62.232, and was the gold medalist for the team competitions. She was the first African American woman in Olympic history to be the individual all-around champion.
How has she affected and inspired others?
Young gymnasts watched Gabby and said that she does such amazing skills, and that they hope they can do that one day. They also said they love how much she's dedicated, focused, and committed to the sport. The gymnasts stated that they hope that they can be like her some day.
