  • throat pain
  • facial/head pain
  • diaphoresis
  • dyspnea
  • nausea/vomiting
  • pre-syncope

ACS tricksters

  • Older women
  • Diabetics
  • Wellens syndrome
  • Unknown LAD occlusions

So What?!

  • Missed early triage, treatment and diagnosis lead to
  • Longer hospital stays(expensive for all)
  • More complex medical needs(morbidity)
  • Loss of life enjoyment (morbidity)
  • Cardiac cripples (morbidity)
  • Earlier death (mortality)
  • Missed opportunities is not who we are as educated ED professionals.
