The woman who invented the dishwasher, was a very wealthy woman she was actually born in Ohio but invented the dishwasher in Illinois. When Josephine was in Ohio she always wondered if she could make something that clean dishes because she hated cleaning dishes.

This is the format of my latest invention its called the dishwasher.This is the big first dishwasher made by me, a Ohio inventor.I had a half time worker helping me invent the stubby dishwasher that has transformed into the metal modern dishwasher.

Her first dishwasher was only used by hotels and restaurants, later when she was dead people used it in there homes.
Josephine Cochrane died from stroke, On May 3 1913.
