Who were the Puritans?

The Puritans wanted to "purify" or make changes to the churches in England.

Why did the Puritans want to come to the New World???

They came to the New World because they wanted to purify the churches. They also wanted to have religious freedom.

Puritans daily life!!


A puritans daily life was that they had to, attend church and go to school to read the bible.

What did the Puritan town look like??

They had houses, general stores, mill, fields, copper, blacksmith, common, well, cobber, minister's house, mettinghouse, and school.

ANN HUTCHINSON

• She came to the new world because she was following her favorite minister.
• She held weekly prayer meetings at her house.
• They started to notice that she was specking out against her word. So later she was kicked out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
• Ann and most of her family were killed by Indians.
• Little do we know why they killed them.

ROGER WILLIAMS

• He moved to the Massachusetts Bay Colony because he was opposed to the teachings of the Church in England.
• He made many enemies on the government.
• He was kicked out because well, him and his friends found a settlement called Providence. To the present day it is in Rhode Island.
• He died probably because he was well, OLD! He was 80 years old when he died.

Indentured Servants

They were people that wanted to go to the New World but the problems were that they did not have enough money. So what they had to do was they went to wealthy families and see if they would take them as like there servants. Then they would pay for there tickets..
