HYPOTHESES

  • I believe the banana DNA will be very string and soggy.
  • Since the banana will be blended , that's why I believe that will be the outcome.
  • I see the best way would be with tweezers .

PROCEDURE

  • Get one banana & cut in small pieces
  • Place pieces in blender along with salt and warm water.
  • Blend for about 5 - 10 seconds. Strain into jar.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of liquid soap & stir mixture.
  • Pour rubbing alcohol on the side of jar. 5min. Use tweezers or toothpick to get DNA

RESULTS

  • My hypotheses was correct.
  • The DNA was very soggy. Much like a slime

CONCLUSION

  • I solved my hypotheses
  • I would've used more water.
  • Finding/extracting DNA is simple.
