LUNGS AND BLOOD OXYGENATION

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Bronchial tubes are in the lungs and carry air to the bronchioles then goes to the alveoli.

The trachea carries air

The right and left primary bronchus are branches. They divide air between the lungs and then the air goes to smaller bronchial tubes.

The bronchioles are tubes that carry air through the lungs

The alveoli are little sacs that carry air

The emphysema is a disease that happens when you smoke cigarettes. The alveoli becomes enlarged and merges with other alveoli. This makes it hard to breathe and can be deadly.

The main job of the lungs are to oxygenate the blood and it allows blood to discharge the carbon dioxide

The main job of the bronchial tubes are too carry air to place to place

The main job of the bronchioles are to make sure air gets to the alveoli. There are 30,000 bronchioles in each lung.

The main job of the alveoli is to make sure air and carbon dioxide get through the lungs. There are 300 million alveoli in an adults lung.
