• Slaves weren't considered citizens at all unless they were freeman (freed slaves)

• Citizens were divided by social classes: Patrician or Plebeian.

• Copied the Greeks' statues
• Used marble and/or clay
• Statues were fully nude

• Brought peace and prosperity

• The Pantheons were built during the reign of Augustus
• Baths of Caracalla is the second largest bathhouse built in Rome
• The Colosseum was where the Romans held their sources of entertainment. ex. Gladiator Matches

Romulus and Remus

• Founders of the city of Rome
• Raised by a shewolf
• Began to quarrel about the best place for their city's locale
• Remus mocked his brother's wall and was bold enough to jump it
• In response, Romulus killed his brother in anger due to Remus' taunting
