  • 226 FTE researchers submitted with 2.76 GPA.
  • Ranked 63rd, 5th in modern Universities
  • Impact case studies worth 25%, outputs worth 65%, environment worth 15%.
  • 36 Units of Assessment
  • AHPs submit under UoA 3
  • 71% of submissions were 3* and above for 22.75 FTE staff.

Where are we now REF 2021

  • Proposed changes Stern review-all research staff should be returned.
  • Staff orchid identifiers will be used.
  • All staff required to submit av 2 outputs, range of 1-6 outputs

Where are we now- REF 2021

  • Outputs start from 1st Jan 2014.
  • Nov 2020 submission closure.

Questions to consider

  • How should we allocate time (AWP) for research and scholarly activity?
  • What is our focus for RIT based on the TLSF priorities- BME and retention?
  • How best can we link RIT with peer review and HEA fellowship applications?
