• Cheap compared to other consoles: $99
• Had a huge "kickstarter" campaign raising over 8.5 million dollars 
• Allows for tweaking to both hardware and software
• Can run other services like twitch, plex and XMBC
• Plays mobile games with a console feel

cons

• Poor hardware to start
• Can't be upgrade seamlessly
• Not a big audience so developers 
• won't be very inclined to make ouya-friendly games
• Bad controller

The ouya cannot be compared to mobile, yet cannot be compared to consoles.
