Alone.
Ponyboy, Darry, and Soda are all alone in life. They all lost there parents and they have to stick together to get by. Even Johnny is alone even though he has parents. Johnny's parents don't care about him and he feels alone

Brave.
The whole greaser gang is brave. They are are brave when the stand up to Socs, steal, or even get in trouble with the law. Even the Socs are brave enough to face the greasers

Coke.
It seems everyone's favorite drink in this book is coke. Except for two-bit who probably prefers booze. But even the girls wouldn't pass up a coke. Except cherry who threw hers is dallys face.

Drive in
Drive in movies seem to be the thing a lot of people like to do. Like when dally, Johnny, and ponyboy went to the drive in and met the girls there.

Educated.
Ponyboy is by far the smartest one in the gang. Ponyboy gets As and Bs and is a very smart kid. The other guys in the gang...not so much.

Fountain
When ponyboy and Johnny got ambushed by Socs the Socs tried to drown ponyboy in the fountain at the park.

Gun.
After ponyboy and Johnny told dally about their situation dally told them to leave town. Dally gave them money and a loaded gun.

Haunted.
This points more to Johnny. Johnny is haunted by the memory of the time he was jumped and when he killed that person. Those are things Johnny will never forget.
