  • He grew up in Czechoslovakia
  • He joined the Nazi Party in the 1930's
  • He was a drunk and was unfaithful
  • He partied instead of participating in Nazi politics
  • He moved to Krakow with his wife for business in Germany

DURING WWII

  • Oskar had a factory in a concentration camp
  • Oskar had Jews working in his factory
  • Oskar kept them safe and healthy
  • Oskar moved to a safer area in Brunnlitz
  • "Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire

IMPACT

  • Died in October of 1974
  • Awarded as "Righteous Among the Nations"
  • Saved 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust
  • Novel and movie made about him
  • Today there are over 7,000 descendants of Schindler Jews
