The Check List

  • Are you having sleeping problems? Can you not get a good night’s rest? Do you always feel tired?, no matter how much sleep you get? Do you snore while you sleep?
  • If you answered yes to any of these questions, chances are you may be overweight.

Sleep Loss & High Risk

  • approximately 18 million Americans suffer from sleep apnea.
  • it affects the quality of your rest. Sleep apnea also leads to health risks such as heart attack or heart failure, stroke and excessive sleepiness during daylight hours.

Over Weight

  • people seem to suffer from sleep apnea more regularly as weight gain in the torso and neck interferes with breathing functions.
  • Because you wake often during the night, whether you consciously lie awake or not, you may find yourself tired during the day.

Obesity On The Rise In The U.S.

  • More than two-thirds (50 percent) of adults are considered to be overweight.
  • More than one-third (41 percent) of adults are considered to be obese.
  • Only (9 percent) of Americans are at a healthy Weight.

State Of Mind

  • With excess weight on your body you tend to spend more energy doing the simplest things in your normal daily lives.
  • This causes you to feel tired and unmotivated.

The Hard Process

  • you may feel so tired that the thought of exercise and making good dietary choices to help you reduce your weight is not appealing.
  • Losing weight by trimming portion sizes and making healthy food choices can help you drop weight, which may alleviate sleep apnea.
  • Once you feel more rested, add in exercise to further your efforts to achieve a healthy weight.
