NU

By:Alberto Saldana C.

Nu was the first God upon all of the other Egyptian Gods

Nu was in the group called the ogdoad where all of the Gods had frog heads or a serpents

Nu's name means "primeval waters". His qualities are boundless, and darkness of the stormy sea. He was the one who controlled the sea.

The culture of the Egyptians was a very grateful culture because the cared of the land. Then when someone died they would bury them with good things like gold and food for to prepare the dead for the afterlife. It was thought of a "gateway of sin" if you thought bad of life.

The Egyptians thought that The God Nu was here before there was any land so there was just water.
And that's why they think still is the reason for the Nile flooding annually.

The Egyptian religion is said to have lasted for more than 3,000 years. Also the God Nu was called "father of the God" for being the oldest God. He was also looked up upon when the other Gods had to make a decision.

The God Nu is said to have brought up most of the Gods and the land on a boat.

The God Nu is said to have married the God Naunet who is the Goddess of the primordial abyss of the underworld

In some online sources it says that Ra created everything but I believe since Nu was here first he started to create everything by. ceasing the stormy water and bringing up the Gods with the land. This is also said on other online recourses but also in an encyclopedia so it's true.

The Gods names who were in the Ogdoad Group were:Amun and Amaunet, Heh and Hehet, kek and keket, Nun And Naunet.
