MAGGIE CONROY

ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA

  • He was a soldier in the Spanish Army in the wars against France.
  • After the military, he studied saint and became part of the catholic faith
  • He was one of the seven to found the Society of Jesus, or Jesuits

ST. FRANCIS XAVIER

  • He is one of the seven who founded the Society of Jesus, Jesuits
  • He preached for 6 months in Africa
  • After he spent the remainder of his life in India, Japan, and the Philippines, spreading the Word of God

ST. PETER FABER

  • As a child he taught young children about Catholicism
  • When he got older we went to college in Paris, he became ordained
  • The pope sent him to many interesting places to spread God's Word

JEAN-JOSEPH-MARIE AMIOT

  • He entered the Society of Jesus in 1737
  • In 1750, he was sent to China as a missionary
  • In China, he helped with Jesuit projects and gained the trust of Emperor Qianlong

JOESPH ANTHONY MURPHY

  • Born in Ireland and raised in Chicago
  • He became a Jesuit priest and was a dean at Marquette University
  • He became an ordained bishop in 1924, in Belize
