LANDFORMS AND BODIES OF WATER

  • The Northeast region has two important features. The Appalachian mountains and the Atlantic ocean
  • The Appalachian mountains span from its south in Pennsylvania to the top of Maine.
  • To the east is the Atlantic Ocean allowing them to have a large fishing and shipping industries.

CLIMATE

  • The northeast has a very even climate.
  • There climate has warm and sunny Summers with very cold winters.

AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES

  • In the northeast they produce fish and certain types of wild fruits for their agricultural output.
  • Soil, rocks, and metal are some of the many natural resources produced in the area.
  • They have a large fishing and shipping industry from these resources.

GEOGRAPHY

  • The land is very rocky so it allows a very small farming industry which allows for large fishing and shipping industries.
  • In the region you can find these animals:Mountainlions, foxes,birds,and fish.

ACTIVITIES

  • In the north east there are many activities. These include: skiing,fishing,climbing,swimming,hunting.

FOODS AND ENERGY SOURCES

  • In the region you can find many kinds of fish and many kinds of shellfish.
  • In the region wind power can be used due to the high elevation in the Appalachian mountains.

POPULATION

  • The northeast has the most densely populated area in the United States. This is due to it being the first part of the United States being colonized by England.
  • Some of the most densely populated cities are New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.
