North's Geography

• The North has a colder climate with warm summers and cold snowy winters.
• Has a ruff rocky terrain.
• The land is not ideal for farming.

South Geography

• The South has a hot summers and mild winters
• They have a high rainfall.
• The land is ideal for farming.

Norths Transportation

• Canals were built in the city.
• 88,000 miles of road were built
• 30,000 miles of railroads were placed

South's Transportation

• 10,000 miles of railroads were placed
• Steamships were used to transport people and goods
• 3,000 canals were placed

North's Culture

• People live in cities and towns.
• Children had a public education.
• They manufactured good and sold them.

South's Culture

• People lived on Farms scattered apart from each other.
• Towns developed at a slower pace.
• They were selfsurficent

North's Economy

• Based off of industys
• Many industries made and or sold, Textile, lumber, and furs
• The North imported and exported to many different countries

South's Economy

• Economy was based off of farming.
• They sold their crops for cash.
• They grow Cotton, corn, sugarcane, tobacco, and many more crops
