DESCRIBE NOMADIC SOCIETY AND ITS EFFECTS ON TRADE

  • There are 2 social classes; nobles and commoners.
  • Normally nobles did little governing. Their heirs recieved noble status
  • Often dependent on trade and they established multiple trade routes.
  • for the first time ever they were able to trade within Eurasia
  • Lead an example of safety within their trade routes

ANALYZE TURKISH MILITARY EXPANSION INCLUDING THAT OF THE SELJUKS.

  • During the tenth century turks spread islam throughout new lands
  • Like anatolia and india. Boundaries of the islamic world spread
  • Turks would seize the wealth of societies and build imperial states
  • The seljuks conquered areas like baghadad and syria

EXPLAIN HOW GENGHIS KHAN ATTAINED SO MUCH POWER.

  • Promoted individuals on merit rather than blood line
  • Had commoners or lower class people join the army
  • Gained the loyalty of commoners and all Mongolians
  • Managed to unite all mongols
  • Their army was very fast and were highly trained through archery
