1ST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS

  • This law is often called the law of conservation.
  • States that energy can be changed from one form to another but cannot be created or destroyed.

2nd Law of Thermodynamics

This law states that in all energy exchanges, if no enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the new state will always be less than the initial state.

BIOGEOCHEMICAL CYCLE.

A cycling of substances that move through both biotic and abiotic earth compontents.

Nitrogen is present in water as in air and soil and the supplies are always restored. This is because nitrogen, just like many elements, moves across the earth in a matter cycle; those of water, nitrogen, phosphors, sulfur and carbon.
