A car will not stop unless the driver uses the brakes.
Inanimate objects do not move unless someone moves them.

Newton's Second Law states that the force acting on an object equals the object's mass times its acceleration.

EXAMPLES
If you push a small and a large box, the small box will move faster bceause it's smaller.
If we throw a ball with more force, it will go farther.
You have to push the large box harder to match the speed of the small box.
