PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Your nervous system directs your body to respond to information.
The nervous system makes you aware of your surroundings and without it you could not move, think, or sense the world around you.
There are two responses your nervous system does: voluntary and involuntary. The voluntary responses are the responses that you can control like throwing a ball or dancing around your kitchen. The involuntary responses are the responses that your body does itself like breathing and sweating.
It starts with the brain. The brain sends a message to your nerves and your body reacts to the action. An example would be if you were to trip your first reaction would be to put your hands out to stop the fall.
Your nervous system works with your urinary system because it tells you when you need to pee. It sends signals through your body and that's when you pee.
The immune system and the nervous system also works to together it tells you when you need to sneeze or cough, it tells your body when your sick.
Two diseases involving the nervous system are Epilepsy and Aphasia. Epilepsy is a Greek word for seizure. Aphasia is the loss of speech.
