  • Nelson Mandela was south Africa's 1st democratically elected president.
  • Convinced the government to abolish the apartheid law in South Africa.
  • He was in prison for 27 years for speaking his mind.
  • As soon as he got out of prison he was inducted into the presidential possition

  • He died in Johannesburg on the 5th of December 2013.
