• Brother of Jan Brueghel the Elder
• Later moved to Antwerp

LATE LIFE

• Lived most of his life in Antwerp
• In 1584 he was recorded to have been a master with the Guild of Saint Luke
• He married in 1588 and had seven children
• Died in his seventies.

IMPORTANCE

• Improved upon work of his father.
• Is a great example of the rapid changes that were going on during the northern renasaincee.
