NADIA WAS BORN IN THE 9TH ARRONDISSEMENT OF PARIS, PARIS, FRANCE.

NADIA FAMILY

  • Father: Ernest Boulanger
  • Mother: Raissa Myshestkaya
  • Sister: Lili Boulanger
  • Nadia was studying music at the age of six.
  • Nadia’s sister was supposed to be a better composer than Nadia but than Nadia got better than her the reason was that Nadia just started composing better compositions than Lili and Lili started losing interest in music as she grew older.

SMARTS

  • She went to the college of Paris Conservatory at age 10 Nadia was smart in school and studied harmony and composition.

NADIA COMPOSES IN THE MODERN CLASSICAL MUSIC ERA AND SHE IS A FRENCH COMPOSER IN THE 20TH CENTURY. When she was young she mostly didn’t like music much than when she was six that’s when she started liking music more.

TEACHING

  • She loved teaching more than composing.
  • She taught music until she died pretty much.
  • She taught some great composers such as Lennox Berkeley, Easley Blackwood, Marc Blitzstein, Elliott Carter, Jean Françaix, Roy Harris, etc.

SOME FUN FACTS

  • Nadia was born on her fathers seventy-second birthday.
  • Nadia was liked to be known as Mademoiselle.
  • Nadia’s young ears were sensitive. It wasn’t until she was five years old that she was able to tolerate music.
