THE CELL WALL

  • My cell wall is the brick wall
  • It is similar to the cell because it protects the city from unwanted things
  • In this picture the cell wall is the red outline of the city

THE CELL MEMBRANE

  • My cell membrane is the gateway
  • It forms a boundary from the outside world and the town
  • In this picture the cell membrane is the two red rectangles

THE NUCLEUS

  • My nucleus is the town hall
  • Holds all of the important information
  • In this picture it is the brown box that says 'Town Hall'

THE NUCLEAR MEMBRANE

  • The nuclear membrane is the town hall door
  • It lets information and other important stuff out
  • In this picture it is the two rectangles attached to the town hall

THE CHROMOSOMES

  • The chromosomes are the city council
  • They make important decisions for the whole town
  • In this picture it is the blue people

THE CYTOPLASM

  • The cytoplasm is the air/oxygen
  • It surrounds everything in the town

THE ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM

  • The E.R. is the roads and sidewalks
  • They are the passageways that travel through the town

THE RIBOSOMES

  • The ribosomes are the stores and restaurants
  • It produces food/proteins for the people

THE MITOCHONDRIA

  • The mitochondria is the civiians
  • They keep the town going by buying and selling things

THE VACUOLES

  • The vacuoles are the water towers
  • It stores materials for later use like water

THE LYSOSOMES

  • The lysosomes are the garbage dumps
  • It removes all of the unnecessary items

THE CHLOROPLASTS

  • The chloroplasts are the plants and trees
  • It provides air or "energy" for the people there
