  • A simile is comparing to things using the words like or as.
  • She is like an angel is a Simile because it is using the word like. 
  • She is like a angel means she is pretty.

Metaphor

  • A metaphor is a comparison of two things using the words is or are.
  • He is a pig is a metaphor which means he is a slob.
  • He is a pig is describing two things useing the word is.  

Idiom

  • Idioms are phrases that can't be taken literally.
  • Raining cats and dogs is a idiom.
  • When it is raining cats and dogs it means it is raining hard.

hyperbole

  • A hyperbole is a exaggerated statement or claim. 
  • He could buy everything in the world. 
  • ou can't really buy everything in the world.

PERSONIFICATION
is a non human thing and giving it human characteristics.

Onomatopoeia

Onomatopoeias are words that make your reading more interesting. Like KRACK

ALLITERATION
Alliteration is saying a bunch of words that start with the same letter like Bailey baked a banana bread.
