MY READING PROJECT

Summary

Melody Brooks was born with a disability. It is where she can't move much or talk at all! Her parents do everything they can for her to make her life filled with joy. When they enrolled Melody into a public school she was made fun of a bit. Ok ALOT!! Sometimes I think to myself how lucky we are to be us and that Melody must be so sad! Even though she has a mom and a dad, a younger sister (Penny), a neighbor named Mrs. V and a dog named Butterscotch that love her how hard life must be.

Setting
In the book "Out Of My Mind" the setting is in Melody's house, Mrs. V's house, and the school/room H-5/connection classes. The school is three stories and the room H-5 is located on the first floor. Mrs. V's house is one floor and has a patio with a ramp for Melody/Mello Yello to get up. Melody's house that she lives in is two floors and Melody sleeps on the second floor down the hall by the bathroom.

Best Parts Of The Book
The best parts of the book are probably when Melody got her medi-talker so that she can speak. It made a real improvement on her life! Another one of the best parts was when Melody was on the quiz team and got perfect score on her tests! It makes me feel inspired!

• I also am always concirned about my family being safe because I worry and love them very much like her parents.
